More info on the workshop:
Led by award-winning poet and editor Megan Sexton, this Summer Solstice inspired poetry workshop is all about celebrating the beauty of nature in Woodlands Garden. We will venture out into the Garden for inspiration, read examples of nature poems, and incorporate writing prompts to generate poems. The goal of the workshop is for everyone to have a poem or a poem-in-progress to take home with them.

All levels of writing experience are welcome.  Bring your favorite notebook and pen or pencil, plus whatever water and snacks you will need.

Please contact Megan at msexton@gsu.edu to register.

A suggested donation of $10-20 will benefit Woodlands Garden.

Woodlands inspires so many of us, in so many ways – to attend to the friends walking the trails with us, to appreciate the lovely plants and trees of the Piedmont, to volunteer.  It can also inspire us to make music and poetry – really!  Come listen on Saturday, give it a try yourself on Sunday.
