SUMMARY:Book Signing with Brandy Hall - Smart Stormwater: Practical Solutions for a Resilient Future
DESCRIPTION:What if your landscape could slow\, sink\, and store every drop of rain… while also restoring soil health and supporting native ecosystems? In this seminar\, Brandy Hall\, founder of Shades of Green Permaculture\, shares practical\, permaculture-based strategies for designing landscapes that treat water as a resource\, not a runoff problem. You’ll learn how to:\n\nRestore the water cycle through smart design\nUse earth contouring techniques like swales and rain garden\nSelect diverse\, site-appropriate plant communities\nBuild long-term soil fertility through water-smart systems\n\n  \nBook Description: At its core\, permaculture is gardening and living with a deep respect for–and responsibility to–nature. In The Complete Guide to Home Permaculture\, you’ll learn the fundamental concepts of permaculture in simple\, actionable steps through case studies adapted to the suburban/urban landscape and a modern lifestyle. A plethora of before-and-after photos and examples of existing home permaculture gardens\, coupled with how-to projects\, detailed illustrations and landscape plans\, and a thoughtful explanation of the 3 pillars of a regenerative landscape (water\, soil\, and plants)\, will lead you to discover that every garden–no matter its size–can have a positive impact. Discover uncomplicated\, tried-and-tested processes to transition conventional landscapes into beneficial and interconnected ecosystems. \nWhether you’re a landowner\, designer\, or sustainability enthusiast\, you’ll leave with actionable tools for transforming your landscape into a climate-resilient ecosystem. This program is free! To register\, click here and complete the Google Form.\n\n\nLearn how to: \n\nProtect biodiversity\nGrow food\, medicine\, habitat\, and beauty\nLimit resource useCreate a closed-loop system that reduces waste\nCapture and reuse rainwater\nHelp restore depleted soil and capture carbon\nFoster a functional polyculture filled with a diversity of plants and life\nGrow vegetables and other edible plants in an edible landscape\n\n  \nThe Complete Guide to Home Permaculture offers accessible ways to address the global climate crisis we face\, allowing you to participate in the Earth’s return to health right from your own backyard.
