To build community\, we are offering a free\, mixed-age playgroup for toddlers and caregivers at Woodlands Garden in Decatur\, thanks to generous support from the Jewish Federation of Atlanta’s Innovation Initiative! Join us Friday mornings to explore nature\, connect with other families\, and develop appreciation for a local wildlife habitat. Once a month\, there will be special hands-on activities related to Shabbat\, holidays\, Tikkun Olam\, or environmental stewardship. The playgroup will meet outdoors in all seasons except in the event of severe weather. \n\nDay/Time:\nEvery Friday morning 10-11 am\n\nAges:\n18 months – 4 years old\n\nLocation:\nWoodlands Garden\, 932 Scott Blvd\, Decatur\, GA 30030. The Visitor Center is currently hosting a show of water color paintings by Jessica Lily\, who will be painting live during the book signing. \nVisitors will then be invited to take a very short walk through the woods to the Woodlands Pavilion\, where they will be treated to live poetry by Wing\, a talk by Luz Wright about the photographs in Wild Atlanta\, and a musical performance by Elise Witt & An Impromptu Glorious ChorusTM. SUMMARY:Watercolor Painting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for watercolor painting classes with Jessica Lily in-person\, held locally in Decatur\, GA. We are working on local wildlife and botanicals\, native to our Metro-Atlanta Woodlands ecosystem. Come play with the magic of watercolors with us\, and join our community as we release expectations\, and let the water do the work! We will be painting with local artist\, Jessica Lily. The instructor will guide the group through a step-by-step method. \nEnjoy our comfortable\, indoor setting at a gorgeous venue – bring a mug for some warm tea. We will also just hang out\, talk shop and learn from each other as we move through our paintings together. \nNo experience necessary! This class is built to give beginners an easy process for a lovely\, meditative painting.
